The Second Agreement

Don't Take anything Personally:

Whatever happens around you don't take it personally. For example if someone calls you stupid don't take it personally take it with the knowledge that they are speaking of their own personal hell. Because as soon as you agree , the poison goes through you and you will be trapped in your own hell. It is not necessary to believe other people who tell you you are wonderful, you should already know how wonderful you are. By taking things personally you set yourself up to suffer nothing. What more can be said on the second agreement I think it sort of speaks for itself. It does however go along with the first agreement on the fact that your word is powerful so if someone calls you something you should know they are false you should know yourself better than anyone else so when they say something negative to you just let it roll off your back knowing they are dead wrong.
